Make Halloween extra special for the little goblins in your life with these Halloween Treats-Chocolate Covered Candy Apples!

Halloween was fun when I was a kid.   A time when you actually received homemade treats in your treat bags from your neighbors, and your parents didn’t think twice about allowing you to eat them. Sure..they checked your stash, but that was a time when neighbors knew their neighbors and kids played with other neighborhood kids and no one gave it a second thought. Treats like popcorn balls and candied apples were my all-time favorite.

Today, Halloween and trick or treating is a bit different. Safety is always in the forefront. Therefore, those homemade treats just aren’t considered safe, so now, people avoid making them altogether. Considering this, there is no reason why homemade treats can’t be utilized for your own Halloween parties, or just a special treat for those at home. Treats like popcorn balls and candied apples were my all-time favorite.

These treats are  fun and easy to make and if you are artistically inclined,  you can decorate these in so many different ways.   When making jack o’ lantern candied apples, my  chocolate choices were; white chocolate, milk chocolate, and orange-colored chocolate. Dipping the coated apples in some chocolate sprinkles or other goodies like chopped peanuts before they dry can really make these extra fancy. Whatever decorations you decide to use, your little goblins will love these homemade Halloween treats!
