Get Your Healthy On with These Spicy Air Fryer Fish Tacos!

Get your healthy on with these airfryer fish tacos! Tacos are so fun to eat and a great family meal that kids will love putting together. Oh and guess what? They are super healthy when you fill them with crispy, crunchy, airfryer fish!

These tacos are an original creation using haddock cooked in an airfryer with a delicious topping of diced avocado, red onion and tomato. My special additions to this recipe is fresh lime juice, cilantro and a spicy, sour cream and Sriracha sauce!

These are great, diet friendly tacos. They will make your tastebuds delight, and your body tight! Enjoy!

Easy Ingredients: makes 8 tacos

Airfryer Fish:

  1. 1 lb. fresh haddock
  2. 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  4. 2 tablespoons chipotle seasoning
  5. 1 large egg
  6. 2 tablespoons of milk
  7. cooking spray

Filling:

You will need 8 tacos shells or 8 soft tortillas

*other topping favorites include: shredded cheese, shredded cabbage, pico de Gallo,

  1. 1 large avocado diced
  2. 1 large tomato diced
  3. 1/4 cup diced red onion
  4. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  5. 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  6. juice of one lime
  7. 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional)
  8. 8 large iceberg lettuce leaves

Sriracha Sour Cream Sauce:

  1. 3/4 cup sour cream
  2. 1/4 cup Sriracha hot sauce

Let’s get started:

in a small bowl, mix flour and chipotle seasoning

in another small bowl, beat egg and milk with a fork

in another small bowl, place the bread crumbs

cut haddock into small strips

dredge the fish through the flour mixture covering both sides of the fish

dip the same piece of fish through the egg mixture

then into the bread crumbs

repeat the same process with all the fish pieces
*for extra crispy fish, spray both sides of fish lightly with cooking oil (optional).Fish shown in these photos have been sprayed with oil prior to placing into the airfryer.

place fish into airfryer on fish setting or set to 350℉ for 10 minutes

while fish is cooking, dice the avocado, tomato, and red onion

place a large lettuce leaf in the bottom of the taco shell.                                     * this is especially useful when using crunchy tacos, the lettuce holds in the the fish and toppings in case the shell cracks.

place avocado and tomato mixture on top of the fish and garnish with Sriracha sour cream.
