Crispy and Delicious-Air Fryer Haddock Recipe
Now that the holidays are over and all the Christmas decorations have been stored away, it’s time to finally try out one of those new kitchen gadgets. I am very fortunate to have received this fabulous Power Airfryer as a Christmas gift this season, and if you don’t know already ” I love kitchen gadgets! Thanks, John and Justin!
Who can resist that crispy coating and delicious flaky white fish like haddock? Not me, but I can sure do without the fat you get with deep-fried fish. So of course, the first meal I wanted to try in this fabulous Power AirFryer will be Air Fryer Haddock.
Honestly, I didn’t think it would taste as good as it did. A crispy, crunchy coating covering a perfectly cooked fish, and that’s right, it’s healthy. A definite plus for those who are doing their best to keep their New Year’s resolutions!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 – 1 lb fresh haddock
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning ( I used Old Bay lemon herb seasoning)
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1-2 tablespoons of melted butter or avocado oil
Easy Preparation:
- cut fish into four pieces
- in a shallow bowl mix flour and seafood seasoning
- in another shallow bowl beat 1 egg
- in another bowl mix bread crumbs and melted butter and mix well
- taking one piece of fish at a time, start by dredging the fish filet through the flour until it is well coated
- next dip that same piece of fish into the beaten egg until it is coated
- then into the breadcrumbs covering all exposed fish
- place breaded fish into the air fryer basket and close
- turn on air fryer and press the fish option button
- temperature should be set at 350℉
- cook for 10 minutes ( this air fryer has the time preset)
- place fish on a plate and repeat the process for remaining fish filets
- when cycle is completed, open air fryer basket and check fish for desired doneness
- you can add additional time during the cycle if you want to add additional time.
- Fish should easily flake with a fork when done
